Model Fish Drying Unit was handed over to Shanti Marine Fisherwomen Society, Penthakota.

A Model Fish Drying Unit was created at Penthakota, Puri, Odisha by the DRWA with the financial support of National Fishery Development Board

(NFDB) under the Network project on Capacity building of coastal fisherwomen through post harvest technology in fisheries. The unit was inaugurated by Dr. Krishna Srinath, Director, DRWA and handed over to Shant i Ma r ine Fisherwomen Society, Penthakota on Dec. 7, 2012 in the presence of Shri P. Krishna Mohan, Director Fisheries, Govt. of Odisha, officials of State fisheries department and scientists of DRWA.
