Since its inception,ICAR-CIWA has been undertaking research on issues concerning women in agriculture. It has focused on participatory action research in different technology based thematic areas involving rural women to test suit Ability of technologies for women and suggest measures to make them women friendly.It is also working to catalyze and facilitate R & D institutions to bring in farm women perspectives in their programmes.
