The International Day of Yoga was observed at ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar on 21st June 2015. The Yoga day concept took shape after our Honourable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi Ji, a Yoga practitioner himself, spoke about the benefits at the UN General Assembly in November, 2014. A few months later, Yoga has come to be accepted throughout the globe as a phenomenon, and UN has declared 21st June as International Day of Yoga. Across the world, 193 countries celebrate this day.
