HRD programme on “Entrepreneurship Development in Agriculture and Allied Sectors” from 22-24 March, 2022)

Under HRD cell, a capacity building programme on “Entrepreneurship Development in Agriculture and Allied Sectors” for the benefit of scientific and technical personnel of the Institute was organized by Indian Institute of Management-Nagpur (IIM-N) during 22-24 March, 2022. The learned faculty members and affiliated resource persons from IIM-N delivered their presentation in virtual mode.

Prof. Som Sekhar Bhattacharyya, faculty of IIM-N elucidated on identifying entrepreneurial opportunities vis-a-vis inception, Innovation and deliberation on strategic planning for entrepreneurial ventures. Mr Sandip Sindhe, Affiliated resource person from IIM-N highlighted on rural innovation and entrepreneurship mindset, model for rural entrepreneurship, innovation start-up ecosystem as well as different case studies on discovering opportunity to minimum viable product in rural India. Dr Divya Rajput, Affiliated resource person from IIM-N highlighted on techno-commercial viability of Agri start-ups and projects.

Mrs Krithika Ram discussed on gender issues in entrepreneurship and briefly highlighted on gender inequality and govt support on gender equity for better livelihood opportunities for roral women. Finally, a panel discussion was held on gender issues in entrepreneurship where experts namely Mr Amit Jain, Ms Renu Saha, Ms Shrutika, Ms Kalyani Shindhe deliberated on start-up successful innovations, incubation centres and Innovation start-up. Dr. Anil Kumar, Director, ICAR-CIWA and Dr. Bimaraya Metri, Director, IIM-Nagpur graced the valedictory function. Director IIM Nagpur wished for more collaboration in the future for a team partnership in the interest and benefit of farm women all over the country. Dr. Sachidananda Swain, Nodal officer, HRD cell, Dr. Neetish Kumar, Co-Nodal Officer, ICAR-CIWA and Dr. Shivaji Dhawad, Chief Operating Officer (COO), InFED, IIM-N coordinated the programme.
